Thank You

This past week was our first Thursday Family Night. Thank you for showing up in the south practice lot to cheer for the band. Thanks to Christie and Chris Chandler and the Spirit Committee for passing out treats to the kids as they left the event. Please come to the stadium for this week’s Family Night on Thursday, September 3 at 8pm.

Parents ARRIVE AT 6:00pm - Senior Night - September 4

Senior Parents, please be at Gate 4 on the southeast corner of the stadium at 6:00pm and line up in alphabetic order. Family and friends wishing to attend Senior night will need to purchase tickets and be seated by 6:30pm. Senior Parents will receive 2 tickets to the game. Additional guests will need to purchase a ticket. See below for tickets.

Pregame Dinner - Friday, September 4

We will be serving the students Sloppy Joes with chips and mac and cheese before the football game. Please let our food lead, Danelle Grimes dcva896@yahoo.com, know if there are any dietary concerns. Our volunteers will be following safety protocols defined by school food services. Food will be placed on plates by volunteers with clean hands wearing gloves and a mask. Students will drink from their water jugs. This meal is only for students. Parents may also drop off food for their student at 5:30pm if desired.

We need 10 volunteers to serve food. Food donations include Sloppy Joe, Mac and Cheese, Buns, Chips and Desserts. Click the link below to volunteer or donate food.

Senior Banner Parent Photos – Thursday, September 3 at 7pm

Senior Parents will gather at the senior banners in the northwest corner of the stadium for a group photo on Thursday, September 3 at 7pm. The photo shoot will conclude at 7:15pm to allow parents to take seats at the stadium. This is not required, but strongly encouraged to show support for our seniors.

Family Night at the Stadium

Please join us on Thursday, September 3 at 8:00pm for "Family Night at the Stadium". This is a great opportunity for families that are not able to attend the football game to see the show performed. This informal show happens every Thursday night during practices and is open to band families. Please remember to wear a mask and observe physical distancing while sitting in the stands.

Football Game Performance – Friday, September 4

Tickets to the September 4 Varsity Football game with Brownsburg go on sale Monday morning, August 31. Tickets for the game can be purchased here: https://gofan.co/app/school/IN840

Marching Band Swag Store

The Marching Band Swag Store will reopen on Friday, September 4. This is a great opportunity to purchase additional show shirts, hoodies, hats, and patches. Don't forget, the store also has FC Bands masks!

Spirit Buttons and Show Buttons

Each family receives one FREE spirit button with your student’s photo without lifting a finger! If you wish to order additional spirit buttons or keepsake show buttons, please print the order form below or download and print at: https://bit.ly/32vnQd6

Please return the order form and money in a plastic bag to the white box outside of the band office. We will return the bag with your buttons. Buttons will be coming in a week and every student will be bringing home a button!

Monday: 6:00pm-9:00pm (Guard, Weapons ONLY)

Tuesday: 5:30pm-8:30pm (ALL)

Wednesday: NO PRACTICE

Thursday: 5:30pm-8:30pm (ALL)

Fundraising Information

Volunteers needed for mum distribution

We need twenty volunteers to help unload, sort, and distribute mums on Tuesday September 8th. There are two shifts available. The first shift is from 2:30pm to 6:00pm. The second shift is from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Sign up for one or both shifts below. Please meet at door 3W and wear a mask. Thank you for your help!

Mum Pickup

Thank you to everyone that participated in the Fall Mum Fundraiser! There were 77 students that benefited from it. The flowers will be delivered on Tuesday, September 8th. You can pick up your orders between 6:00pm and 8:00pm. Please sign up for a pick up time below. We are utilizing this approach to distribute the flowers more effectively and prevent large gatherings to maintain social distancing. Please drive through the loop at door 3W for pickup. Stay in line and remain in the vehicle until you receive instructions from a volunteer. Please wear a mask. We do not have the ability to store the flowers, so they MUST be picked up on September 8th. Thank you.

Craft Fair Vendor Applications

We have received 93 applications to be considered in our first round of vendor selections. The Craft Fair Committee will be reviewing these applications in August. The deadline for submitting applications to be considered in the 2nd round of vendor selections is September 30, 2020. Encourage any crafters you know to apply.
