Inktober for Secondary Students
What is Inktober?
Inktober is a month long art challenge created by artist Jake Parker that is focused on improving skill and developing positive drawing habits. Every day for the month of October anyone participating in the Inktober challenge creates an ink drawing and shares it.
The name Inktober comes from the art of "Inking" Inking is the process of adding shading and detail to the original drawing, giving it more character. It's one of the most important and most unrecognized aspects of comic books.
To participate at OVS, we post on a school moderated Padlet instead of social media. It is OPTIONAL for fun.
1) Make an original, school appropriate drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want). Or you can draw digitally. All should be black and white.
2) Post it on the Padlet in the column for the prompt you drew. There is one column for each day.
You can do as many or as few days as you would like. You can go in order or you can not go in order. That’s it. Now go make something beautiful!
