PHES Honor Roll 🏅
Grades are completed for Quarter 1! Your student may have earned one of the following honorable distinctions:
- 3s and 4s on the 1st quarter grade report (including citizenship)
High Honor Roll
- all 4s on the 1st quarter grade report (including citizenship)
Remember that these lists will be generated at the end of each quarter. After the 4th quarter an additional distinction is given to students who have all 4s for the entire school year. This is known as the "Principal's Honor Roll".
As I have been telling students, we are very proud of those who earned an honorable distinction, but what makes us most proud is when a student:
1. Does their very best
2. Shows improvement
I do not believe it is very healthy for a student to compare their own performance to that of other students. We aim for each student consistently showing progress compared to their own previous performance. We hope that this is a standard that can be reinforced outside the walls of Providence Hall.
There are, of course, several other ways students are recognized by the school and by teachers at Providence Hall Elementary. We encourage students to strive for IB Student of the Month (ask your child's teacher about this), being recognized for their acts of service on our Action Wall, as well as working toward earning the Patriot Pride award.
Go Lil' Patriots!
