Math Focus: 3.MDA.1 Use analog and digital clocks to determine and record time to the nearest minute, using a.m. and p.m.; measure time intervals in minutes; and solve problems involving addition and subtraction of time intervals within 60 minutes.
Success Criteria:
- I can tell and write time to the nearest minute using analog and digital clocks.
- I can measure elapsed time using number line diagrams.
- I can measure time intervals in minutes.
- I can solve problems with elapsed time using tools including number line diagrams.
- I can explain how to find the amount of time that has passed between 2 different times.
- I can use addition and subtraction strategies to solve real world problems about time.
- I can solve problems about elapsed time including determining a start time, elapsed time, or end time.
- I can solve problems involving addition and subtraction of time intervals within 60 minutes.
Reading Learning Focus: Readers can interpret and critique vocabulary and language to shape meaning and tone.
Success Criteria:
- I can identify idioms.
