What is Cyber Bullying?
Cyber Bullying is the constant harassment of another person. It is bullying but through online devices and social media. It can hurt just as much as normal bullying and can have a horrible effect. Cyber Bullying is growing and will get worse if we don't do something to stop it.
Effects of Cyber Bullying.
The effects of Cyber Bullying can be really bad if it's not stopped, these include:
- Feeling sick and nervous
- Not going to school
- Loosing friends
- Depression
- Suicide
Where it can Happen
Cyber Bullying can happen everywhere and anytime of the day. Places it can happen:
- School
- Home (bedroom)
- A friends house
What to do?
There are many things to do if you've been or someone is Cyber Bullying but mostly remember to stop, screenshot it and show a trusted adult or parent. You can block the user too from you page or contacts to ensure it stops. If it continues you must continue to report it and try to make it stop.
How can you Help?
You can help many ways by simply asking if your friend is okay if it's happening to them. You shouldn't pass on mean or rude messages or photos. You could report it too if you see it happening and report photos that have been sent to you.
