Did you know that Father John V. Doyle School participates in the Amazon Smile donation program? We would really appreciate your support and it won’t cost you anything extra! If you shop online through Amazon, just sign on through smile.amazon.com to support us! To begin, you will be asked to select your charity. You can search for Father John V. Doyle School or Saints John & Paul Church, either way, your donation will be credited directly to our parish school! You can also reach the donation site by using the link provided on our fjvd.org website on the Support Us page.


Another great way to support Father John V. Doyle School is through the Stop & Shop A+ School Rewards program! Since 2005, Stop & Shop has awarded more than $18 million to schools! We are grateful to our families who have been participating and we encourage everyone to join in!

Simply:

  • visit www.stopandshop.com, click on SIGN IN, MANAGE MY ACCOUNT, SAVINGS & REWARDS, to create or log into your on-line account.
  • If you have a Stop & Shop Card but do not know your 13-digit Stop & Shop Card number, call the Stop & Shop Card Hotline at 1-877-366-2668 and select Option #1. The representatives will be able to provide you your Stop & Shop Card number.
  • Sign in to your account (or register for an account) to link your Stop & Shop Card to our school.
  • By choosing Father John V. Doyle School, we will earn money from your qualified purchases during the program period, September 7, 2018 through March 16, 2019 for this school year!

CAR SHOW - BOOK SALE & LOCAL AUTHOR EVENT - TOUCH-A-TRUCK... and more!!!

TOMORROW Saturday September 15! The date has finally arrived for the Father John V. Doyle School Annual Car Show! Enjoy a day of fun, antique cars, Touch-A-Truck, face-painting, and so much more! We hope you can join us! Car Registration is only $15 and Admission to the event is FREE!

BAKED GOODS still needed for tomorrow's Car Show...

Attention Bakers! We need cookies, cakes, pies, breads, brownies and more for our Bake Sale at the Car Show!!!

Please drop off your baked good items directly to the Bake Sale table out front and clearly indicate if a baked good contains nuts. Many Thanks!!!

Saints John & Paul Parish Welcome Mass - Sunday September 16 @ 9:30am

Please join us in welcoming families new to our parish at the Welcome Mass on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at 9:30am. All students who attend this Mass in full regular uniform will receive a no-uniform day! Please sign in with Mrs. Smith at the reception in the Parish Center immediately following the Mass. This is a great opportunity to meet our new families and let them know about our wonderful school!

Lunch Orders/payment due Thursday, September 20 by 9am!

Installation Mass for Father Woolley!

Please join our school and parish community to celebrate the Installation of our new pastor, Father Woolley on Sunday, September 30 @ 11:30am.

All students who attend this special Mass in full school uniform will receive a no-uniform day!

Our PTO team will maintain the group to provide an online community where families can get information about events, share volunteer opportunities, be able to ask questions, and have a chance to give your opinion through surveys and open discussions.

Reminder... Keep bringing in those Box Tops!

Start bringing in your Box Tops! Every 50 Box Tops will get you one Angel Award (grades K-5) or one Doyle Dollar (middle school)! AND you'll help boost your homeroom total... the homeroom with the highest overall total by Thursday October 18 will win a No-Uniform Day!

Paul Effman String & Band Programs - Registration due Monday 9/17

On Friday, 9/7/18, students in grades K through 8 attended a demonstration of instruments that will be offered at Father John V. Doyle School through the Paul Effman Music Service in the coming year.


Violin is offered to students in grades K through 8. The Band Program is available to students in grades 3 through 8, with or without experience. Half hour small group lessons are given after school on Thursdays.

RI Catholic School Parent Federation

Father John V. Doyle School needs two parent liaisons to join the Parents Federation. Please contact Mrs. Smith if you can fill this role!


The Rhode Island Catholic School Parents Federation organizes parents to assure equal opportunities for quality education to all who desire it. It is committed to educating, advocating and mobilizing Catholic school parents, public policy-makers and the public at large to ensure that Catholic school students and parents receive all the rights and privileges to which they are entitled. Its primary purpose is to maintain state and federally mandated services which include student transportation, health and special education services, textbook loans and federal entitlement grants and services. A secondary purpose is to provide parents with access to public tax funds which may include tax credits, tax deductions and educational opportunity scholarships.
