In Class Assignments (All Groups)
This week students will be asked to complete Reading Response journal #5 by Friday. This is written about their current independent reading book, so that book needs to come to school everyday. I have included the rubric used to grade the responses.
Students will also be practicing the weekly spelling pattern (final schwa or unstressed vowel), continue working on identifying informational text structure, and mastering finding main idea and supporting details in informational texts.
We will continue our focus on informational texts and summarizing those texts with guided and independent work.
Gold Group will have a quiz on Verbs Tuesday, October 18th.
ALL GROUPS HAVE A BIOGRAPHY PROJECT DUE THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21ST.
