Re-Envisioning High School Math Pathways
New Mexico secondary math educators are encouraged to apply to participate in developing recommendations that envision coherent high school math pathways to ensure high-quality math education for all students.
Educators, including teachers, instruction coaches, school/district leaders, and math post-secondary educators, with experience in developing equitable standards-based instruction aligned to the context and practices of the Common Core State Standards for Math, will receive up to 64 hours of professional learning during the span of the project this school year, including:
- participation in eight full days (in-person and virtual); tentatively two days in February and six days from March–June;
- ongoing virtual collaboration with colleagues and a coach to share and receive feedback on the recommendations; and
- a $1,200 stipend for full participation in the ongoing work and completion of the project by June 23 (full stipend paid for off contract time).
Application due Jan. 24.
