Gospel Value: Respect

Respecting the life and dignity of myself and each person in thought, word and action.

Dear Star Families and Friends,

On Monday, we will be closed for Labor Day. It’s a day to relax and reflect, and a day to thank our Lord for the opportunities and gifts that we have been blessed with. May we remember to always do good for others and to do it in His name. I also ask St. Joseph the Worker to guide you and give you the patience to persevere at your job. I am praying that you may be able to always provide for your family and be reminded to thank God for it.

Have a blessed weekend!

Parent-Teacher Partners

Here at St. James Catholic School, we are partners working towards the success of your children, and positive parent-teacher relationships are key to that success. When it comes to expectations, both teacher and parent have expectations for each other. As parents, we expect teachers to instruct and guide the learning of our children in order to be successful. Teachers expect parents to support instruction, attendance, and behavior in school. If these expectations are the same and they are communicated well, it will have a positive effect on the student’s academic achievements. We are partners and making sure we are connecting every piece is vital to helping our students succeed.

Praying for Vocations

Every Thursday, Father Pruett selects a family to take a cross home and pray for vocations with their family. Kassidy and Liam were selected this week.
