The Water Cycle

The Water cycle (also know as the hydrologic cycle) is a journey water takes as it circulates from the land to the sky ,back, and again. The Water cycle is made with few main parts: Evaporation, Transpiration, Condensation,Precipitation and Collection. The Water cycle is powered by the sun.

What is Acid rain?

Acid rain is a result of air pollution. When any type of fuel is burnt, lots of different chemicals are produced. The smoke that comes from a fire or the fumes that come out of a car exhaust don't just contain the Grey particles that you can see, they also contain lots of invisible gases that can be even more harmful to our environment.

What causes Acid rain?

Acid rain is rain with a higher acidic level. It is formed when fossil fuels are burned, the fossil fuels release sulfur dioxide, among-st other gases, and this reacts with water vapor in the air. The sulfur dioxide- water vapor condenses and forms acid rain.

Why is Acid rain harmful to our environment?

When Acid rain falls it erodes marble, and pollutes water, Eventually killing fish and everything that eats or drinks from this water. Also trees get weak and die.

How to prevent Acid rain?

Because nitrogen oxides are created in the process of burning coal and other fossil fuels, some power plant are changing the way they burn the coal. A great way to reduce Acid rain is to produce energy without using fossil fuels. Instead, people can use renewable energy sources, such as solar or wind power.
