Today's Professional Development
Also, we will meet again with Deb from ESU #8 to talk about our mission and vision at NC. In addition, I want to start a discussion with you about our school's "charism"--our special gifts, our particular spirit, and our focused identity. I have also shared a little information about charism, as well as some questions I'd like to discuss with you, via Google Drive. Here's the link:
We will all meet at one large group in the HS Cafeteria at 1pm. Please bring your laptops.
I am hopeful that the Catholic Identity team will have some time to meet to discuss Catholic Schools Week. If not, you'll need to find some time in December to finish the CSW planning.
Teachers should be dismissed by 3:45.
One-Act Play is a (I cannot think of a predicate nomnitive or adjective to go here!)
The ending of the piece also allows you to wonder who the guilty party is, as well. It is definitely open to interpretation! The audience was buzzing with questions afterward.
Your best bet to see this play is to attend the City One-Act performances on Monday night, November 30. I think it starts at 7pm. All three Norfolk schools usually perform, but you're still out of there in a little more than an hour. Our students will perform at Districts in Columbus on Tuesday, Dec. 1. Break a leg!
Big on Facebook, but wanted to share this with you here, too.
Jeff Bellar received this email on Tuesday, after the one-act students competed in Wausa. I posted it to Facebook, where it's now been viewed 5,424 times. Too many times, we don't celebrate, comment, and just hear about the good things our kids do.
Yesterday was the one act festival in Wausa. Many or all of your students came down to Pinky's Lounge to grab some food and hang out. I have never been more impressed by a group. I was the only one working so an extra 20 plus food orders was a little overwhelming. I heard please and thank you. The kids picked up their plates and pop cans and threw them away. They played the jukebox and played pool and when they were done they put everything away, pushed in their chairs, said "thank you" and left.
Please pass this on to their teacher.
Sincerely,
Karen Tilton, mgr.
