Principal's Points
Hello North Families,
The National PTA and PTO organizations have designated the first week of May as Teacher Appreciation Week! What a wonderful way to show our admiration and gratitude to those that teach our children every day!
This year, at North, we are going to celebrate all staff and instead have a staff appreciation week.
The North administration is lucky to have such a terrific group of staff members at our school. Each teacher, assistant, cafe worker, bus driver, custodian, etc has worked so hard to provide a consistent, safe and caring environment for all of the children at our school. To show them our appreciation for all that they do, we would like to coordinate some special activities that we hope each parent & child will take part in during Staff Appreciation Week.
Attached to the newsletter today is a daily celebration we hope you will join in on.
Along with celebrating our staff, I want to send a shout-out to all of our 3-5th grade students. After two weeks of testing the majority of our students are done. They worked very hard and we are very proud of them!
Have a great weekend.

Mr. Lugo's Brainbuster
A mouse wants to get in better shape. She’s going to start by climbing the stairs. Starting on the fourth floor, she climbs up five stories, down seven stories, up six stories, down three stories, and up four stories again. What floor is she on?
Virtual Learners
We just have a month left of our 20-21 school year. Though this year has been unpredictable due to COVID there have been so many great things happening. We have been able to show what resilience, flexibility, and determination look like. We have been able to do things we did not think were possible. All of this because we are in it together. Thank you, again, for your continued support and efforts at home with your child. Also- teacher appreciation week is next week. Please make sure to let your online teacher know how much you appreciate them.
ILEARN
Thanks for everyone’s flexibility with ILEARN this year as we continue to assess your 3rd-5th grade child. If you are testing at the community center you will receive a reminder for testing weekly. Please check your email.

News from the Nurse
PARENTS OF 5th GRADERS: Immunization requirements for 2021-2022: ALL 5th graders going to 6th grade will need: 1 MCV4 (Meningococcal), 1 Tdap (Tetanus and Pertussis). These are shots only given to this age group and/or when entering middle school. Noblesville Schools require a complete record by the first day of school. Once your child receives the immunization, return an updated copy of your child’s shot records to the school nurse.
Heat and Hydration: It’s getting warm outside! Our bodies are not yet accustomed to the heat. Please make sure your student has a water bottle with them daily and encourage them to drink and refill! Reminder that our water fountains here at school remain turned off due to Covid.
