To expedite the hiring process, applicants are encouraged to complete an online application by visiting at susd.org/Jobs prior to arriving.
At the hiring fair, applicants will be able to speak to supervisors, complete on-site interviews and, in some cases, receive a conditional offer of employment on the spot, pending the results of background investigations and reference checks.
Positions working 30 hours or more each week are eligible for benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Some positions require additional certifications, such as a food handler card, first aid certification, and, in the case of bus drivers, a Commercial Driver License.
No appointment is necessary to attend the hiring fair; anyone is welcome to attend. For more information, call the SUSD Human Resources Department at (480) 484-6174 and visit susd.org/Jobs for a listing of all available position.
IB Corner
Anasazi Wonder Wall
This month's IB Learner Profile Attribute is INQUIRER.
“We nurture our curiosity, developing skills for inquiry and research. We know how to learn independently and with others. We learn with enthusiasm and sustain our love of learning throughout life. ”
The students will be creating one large Anasazi Wonder Wall to document all of their questions and things they are curious about. Students are encouraged to take action and research their questions to find answers. If your child completes this action at home, please take a photo and send it to me at sarmstrong@susd.org or to his or her teacher.
This is a great way to encourage learning outside of the classroom!
Anasazi PYP Parent Portal
We have created an Anasazi PYP Parent Portal for you to be able to find information about Anasazi and our PYP journey. Here is a link to an introduction video about our portal and the information that can be found there.

From the Desk of our Community Specialist
Dear Families:
As you know there are a few deadlines soon approaching. Evictions will begin to take place in our community. Should your family be going through a rough time, please give me the chance to provide you with resources that can help a little in these trying times.
Also, the week before our Fall Break, we will be having two (2) food distribution events. One will take place on October 5th at the McKellips warehouse for the police department, and the other one will be held on October 7th at the Church of Nazareth. Once registered, you will be provided with exact date, time, and location of the events. Please contact me at 480-484-4614 to be put in the list/s. It is very important for me to have names so that we can arrange for the proper amount to distribute to our families.
There is no judgement nor compromise. We keep the upmost confidentiality.
Hope to be of service soon.
Ms. Luz
