OLR HARVEST DINNER - THIS SUNDAY!!


This Sunday, October 9th, is the OLR Harvest Dinner from 12:30pm to 5:00pm. If you are interested in helping there is a sign-up sheet at the back of the church. Students are needed to help serve and clean-up as well.


HARVEST WAGON

The Harvest Dinner is Oct. 9th. Tiffany Mensen will be running the Harvest Wagon and is looking for produce donations. If you would like to support the dinner by donating produce, you can do so on the morning of Oct. 8 and 9th. Any questions related to the wagon donations, please call or text Tiffany Mensen at 810.335.2719.

PICTURE DAY - OCTOBER 12TH

Smile and say "cheese"! It's picture day on October 12th, this includes, students individual photos, retakes (from Crusader Day), sports and team photos.

OCTOBER IS PUMPKIN PAINTING TIME!

Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Page, who delivered over 130 pumpkins this week for our students to paint. The pumpkins made a great canvas to showcase their creativity and artwork. The kids had a blast!


We are grateful to Mr. and Mrs. VanHoutte from Northern Farm Market for giving us such beautiful pumpkins! Thank you.

PTO Walk To School Day Fun

PTO's Walk To School Day was fun for all those that participated. With a slight chill in the air, the students walked from Marine City beach to the school as the sun was beginning to rise. Thank you PTO for a fun walk through town.

CROSS COUNTRY NEWS

The Holy Cross Cross Country team is making great strides this year! On Sept. 27th they competed in the Anchor Bay Middle School Invitational against 8 teams. A total of 64 boys ran and 62 girls ran. Top 20 received medals. Holy Cross had 6 boys that ran and all 3 of our girls ran.

Dominic DeVeny was 16th place and Liam Guyor was 18th place. Both received medals. Congratulations!!


Next meets are on Oct. 6th and Oct. 13th, 6pm @ Columbus Twp. Park. (1670 Bauman Rd)

VOLLEYBALL NEWS

VOLLEYBALL NEWS

The Crusader Volleyball team continues to move their way through the ranks. On Oct. 4th they defeated Immaculate Conception, winning all three games! Great job!


Currently they are in line for E Division playoffs! So continue to cheer our team on.


St. Lawrence will be the last Volleyball game for our 8th graders (outside of playoffs)! Thank you Abby, Anna and Amelia for a great season, both this year and in years past.


Next game is Oct. 13th, 6:30pm @ St. Lawrence

NJHS sponsor the snack store! It’s open between 7:15-7:30am, Mon-Fri. The prices of snacks will range from $.25-.50. A wide variety of snacks will be available such as Cheez-its, Fruit Roll Ups, pretzels, water, Gushers, and much more!!

Golf club has begun but there is still time to join. A spot has been reserved for Friday @ 3:30 @ Pine Shores. The cost is $5 per kid. Extra clubs are available for use. If you don't have pull carts, just bring a driver, an iron, a wedge, and a putter. Coaches are Mr. Path and Dr. Dixon.

YOUTH CHOIR

Open to 2nd-8th graders, Youth Choir begins on Monday, Oct 10TH. Practice is from 3pm to 3:35pm with pick up at the Fine Arts building.

The ACHATZ Pie PTO Fundraiser is open! Fliers and order forms went home this week. Please fill out and return to the school office no later than Oct. 20th. Just a note: This is a "coupon" sale, meaning you will receive a coupon for the type of food you ordered. You will then be able to redeem your coupon(s) at any ACHATZ Pie location. Coupons expire after 1 year.

VG's Receipts: Thanks to everyone who continues to save them for us. Please keep saving the entire VG’s receipts, including the “Direct Your Dollars” paragraph. (Sorry--“e-receipts” are not accepted.) We’ll continue to collect receipts until the store tells us to stop! Drop off receipts at the school office or at the rectory.
