FREE LUNCH FOR ALL STUDENTS!
The Northville Public Schools Food Services Department is pleased to announce that Northville Public Schools students may now receive a free lunch each school day!
The free meals were made possible after district officials received a waiver sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture. This change resumes the summer meal rules and regulations allowing Northville Public Schools students to receive free meals including Pre-K students. Please see the updated details below, and if you have a need for food, items may be ordered on through Nutrislice from the District website.
This program is currently planned to end on December 18th, 2020 – or until funding is exhausted – families should be aware that this USDA waiver does not replace the need to apply for free or reduced meals for the remainder of the school year for those families who are eligible. Free and Reduced meal applications from the last school year expire on October 19, 2020, and participation in the program must be renewed annually.

NEW THIS YEAR - All School Lunches Must Be Pre-Ordered
Families must pre-order by 9 am of the day of pick up or delivery. Meals must be pre-ordered using the District’s Nutrislice online program, or through the Nutrislice app, available on the Apple Store or Google Play. Additional information, including a video tutorial, about the Nutrislice pre-ordering process is available on the Food Service Department website.
Please note - The video shows how to do a pick-up for virtual students, but it is the same process to order for in-person students and their lunch will be delivered to their classroom at Silver Springs. All you need to do is click the tab at the top that says delivery and select Silver Springs.
Where are the lunch meals being made available?
In-person learners must pre-order their lunch which will be delivered to the students’ classrooms. If you have multiple students attending in-person, parents will need to order meals for each of their students individually in Nutrislice. Please make sure that you choose the correct school and the correct classroom/teacher for each of your students when ordering for multiple students.
Online learners must also pre-order their lunch. Online learners' lunches can be picked up in the west parking lot (Athletics Department) entrance of Northville High School (45700 Six Mile Rd.) between the hours of 11 am and 1 pm each school day.

We would like to welcome Rita Pettyjohn to the PTA Executive Board. Rita was elected to the position of treasurer. Thank you , Rita!!!
The Silver Springs PTA is looking forward supporting our students and staff in this unprecedented year,! To fund school activities and functions, we need your family to make a generous donation to support our Silver Springs PTA. This is our main source of fundraising for the entire year so please give what you can. You do not need to be a PTA member to make a donation. 100% of your tax-deductible donation goes directly back to our students and Silver Springs.
The Invest In Your Child fundraising campaign supports many of the programs that make Silver Springs a great place to learn and grow, and come together as a community.
A few of the events/activities /learning tools your Silver Springs PTA provides are:
· Learning Resources like IXL for all students
· Science Fair and Reflections
· Roller Skating Nights
· Yearbook
· Assemblies (JES), Science Alive and March Is Reading Month
· Teacher Allocations for classroom use
· Hospitality and Teacher Appreciation Week
In order for all these activities/events to continue, we need our families to help.
