Amplify in Action Series Continues
Here are episodes that were released in February:

Literacy Assessment Reports Sent Home
On February 27, we emailed Literacy Assessment Reports to our K-7 families. Grade 8 reports will be emailed shortly.
Throughout the school year, we will email Literacy Assessment Reports home to our families. These Reports will showcase growth the student has made throughout the year during Benchmark Assessments. Included on the Reports are scores, literacy classifications (STAR Reading Assessment), and benchmark status (Acadience Assessment). All the reports (templates) and informational video can be found on our Celina Literacy website.
February Curriculum Catch-Up
Celina City Schools Curriculum Director Vaughn Ray offers his February Catch-Up with Karen Sudhoff (Grades 2-3 Literacy Coach). Karen provides an explanation on Literacy Assessment Reports and a shout-out to school staff. Curriculum updates include: 2022 Spelling Bee Winners, Amplify in Action update, Upcoming Testing, and March 21 Professional Development Day for Celina Staff.
District Spelling Bee Winners
The 2022 Celina City School District Spelling Bee was held on January 21. Congratulations to Winner Andrew Biser (6th Grade at CIS) and Runner-Up Bryce Uhlenhake (5th Grade at CIS). The Encore Presentation can be found below.
Vision, Mission, and Beliefs
Below you will find our District Vision, Mission, and Beliefs and Goals for the 21-22 school year. Currently, we have a two-pronged approach for our staff professional development (which we are monitoring with our goals): Assessment Capable Learners (ACL) and Literacy.
