The BIG PTO Fundraiser- We need your help!
Next Monday and Tuesday, November 1-2, I will be going into PE classes to kick-off our big PTO fundraiser for the year... our PapaNicholas Coffee, Tea, and Hot Chocolate Fundraiser and Write-a-Check Campaign. This fundraiser is where our PTO raises most of their money for the year.
How can you help?
Help your child do some "safe selling"- from visiting friendly neighbors together to calling relatives. This is a great opportunity for your child to learn how to make a short pitch to sell something.
Help our PTO by buying coffee, tea, and hot chocolate for home and work... or for holiday gifts. A bag of PapaNicholas Coffee RedHawk Blend makes a wonderful gift!
Or help us by writing a check for our Write-a-Check Campaign! If you have the ability to write a hefty check- great! But a check of any size is truly appreciated!
Please note that I am going to be exceptionally pushy during this fundraiser. In advance, I apologize for the emails and texts I will send. But the end result is that our RedHawk students and staff benefit from the money our PTO raises. Take a look at the things our PTO has supported in the past.
Thank you for your support in ensuring that this PTO fundraiser is our best ever!

WMS 1st Quarter Honor Roll!
Our Honor Roll recipients will be recognized NEXT FRIDAY, November 5th, with a ribbon, plus a treat at lunchtime from our fantastic PTO!
Please note: We may have some children who earn Honor Roll status but their name is not included on this list. This is because their parents have requested their children's names NOT be published, which includes being published as part of the Honor Roll here or in the newspapers. Changes to this request can be made either in the Home Access Center or with Student Services.
Congratulations to all of our RedHawks who worked hard throughout the 1st quarter of this school year. A special shout-out goes to those who were able to achieve Honor Roll status by earning either all A's or all A's and B's. All A's are on one tab, AB's are on another! See the bottom of the page to switch tabs.

Hello WMS Families, Students, and Staff-
Wredling would like to honor our veterans and active-duty military for Veterans Day with a "Hall of Honor". If you have a family member who is a veteran or who is on active duty, please consider filling out this form.
There is a place to upload a photo. If you do not have the ability to scan, we can scan it here for you at Wredling and return the photo to you.
Our veterans and active military are important people and it is essential that our students, staff, and community honor their service and sacrifice!
Submissions are due by Friday, November 5, 2021, at 4 PM.
Thank you-
Tim Loversky, Principal

Support for Your Child if they are Quarantined:
If your child is quarantined due to Covid, our teachers will send work to your child and work with you and your child as we always have when a child is out of school. We want to recognize that quarantine offers some unique challenges for our students.
We will be offering instructional support through a certified teacher during quarantine. Ann Rose, a recently retired D303 teacher, will be available to support our quarantine students through Zoom. When a child begins quarantine, we will email both the child and the parent with information on how to access Mrs. Rose's Zoom for support. We encourage our quarantined students to access this instructional support!
Parent Volunteer Communication from the District
In District 303 we believe that families are the strongest partners we have to support our students’ education. We are excited to welcome volunteers back into District 303 buildings to assist with a variety of classroom and school activities.
As a public school district, we are required to comply with the Governor’s Executive Order relative to COVID-19 mitigation steps in all district buildings. These steps will keep our students, staff members, and volunteers safe while they are in our schools. Given that, all volunteers must:
Provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test received within 72 hours of arriving to volunteer. If using a stick home test you need to show the stick to the school.
Bring documentation to the front office upon arrival
Wear a properly fitting mask at all times while in the building
Complete the Volunteer Information Form prior to the first time you volunteer
Our students and staff members appreciate your willingness to volunteer your time!
Summer CTE Camps Survey
The Northern Kane County Regional Vocational System is a consortium of school districts U-46, District 300, District 301, and District 303 working together on career and technical education and college and career readiness throughout the region. The districts are currently considering the possibility of offering summer camps aligned to these opportunities giving students exposure to different career fields. Career fields include robotics, computer science/programming, automotive technology, architecture, engineering, manufacturing, welding, construction, video and music production, culinary arts, veterinary science, and health science. In order to plan and offer the very best in camp opportunities for our students, we need to hear from you and your students. We would like your feedback on these possible summer opportunities. Please take a moment to complete the survey below by October 31st and share your thoughts with us.
