CMS XC Teams Take County Championship in Consecutive Years

The Corner Middle School Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams have won their second county championship in as many years, bringing home the boys and girls titles from the Jefferson County Cross Country Championships held at North Jefferson Middle School last week.


Sprinting across a wet and muddy course, the boys team finished in 1st place, and the girls team finished in tie for 1st place with North Jefferson. Max Thomas finished in 1st Place in the boys individuals, and Charlie Orange finished in 3rd for the girls. Congratulations to XC Coaches, Jennifer Rouse and Tiffany Little, and all the members of the team on their great season! We are very proud of your accomplishments!

Jefcoed Report Card Distribution Date Delayed

Dr. Walter Gonsoulin has announced that 1st quarter report cards -- scheduled to be sent home on Thursday, October 14, 2021 -- will now be sent home on Monday, October, 18, 2021 as a result of updates that have and are occurring in the new Power School student information system. Please make a note of this change and be looking for these documents coming home with your student.

Thanking Those Who Defend our Nation As We Prepare to Celebrate Veteran's Day

As our school family prepares to celebrate those who have and continue to serve to preserve our nation's freedom, we would like to invite anyone interested in having a letter / letters sent to a serviceman or woman for Veterans Day, please email that individual's name and address to our library/media specialist, Mrs. Jennifer Harris, at jharris@jefcoed.com. Thank you for helping us honor our veterans and the men and women in active duty!
