Climbers of the Week!
Pro Tip
Take Attendance Seriously
Middle schoolers should take a sick day if they have a fever, are nauseated, vomiting, or have diarrhea. Otherwise, it's important that they arrive at school on time every day, because having to catch up with class work, projects, tests, and homework can be stressful and interfere with learning.
Middle schoolers may have many reasons for not wanting to go to school — bullies, difficult assignments, low grades, social problems, or issues with classmates or teachers. Talk with your child — and then perhaps with an administrator or school counselor — to find out more about what's causing any anxiety.
CCA Reality Town
The annual CCA Reality Town Event is scheduled for THURSDAY March 23rd. Parents are needed to staff the 'businesses' in Reality Town. If you are able to help please notify your student's CCA Teacher by Friday March 17th. The event runs from 7:45 - 2:45. Lunch will be provided for those who are staffing the 'businesses' in Reality Town. Their student will get a bonus in their Reality Town booklet of $100 as well. Again, please contact your student's CCA teacher if you can assist or if you have any questions.

Mariachi Band
On February 23, the MNMS Mariachi Band was invited to play for an ethnomusicology class at UVU! The students performed "Cielito Lindo" and "De Colores" and then taught the class about their instruments and the role they each play in the band. The students were impressively professional and did an incredible job.
Read Across America Day
Read Across America day was celebrated in the 6th grade English classes on March 2. Mr. Cope read mystery stories aloud for the students. Mrs. Stevenson had a quiet space for those who love to get lost in a good book. Mrs. Pehrson had animated picture books read aloud from different celebrities on Storyline Online. The students were able to pick what type of reading they would enjoy most and spend their class period reading to celebrate this great day!
Youth Harmony Day
A group of MNMS students went to Youth Harmony Day this weekend and had a great time learning barbershop music. Good times!
