Missing Maps Project
We have been invited to participate in the Missing Maps Project this coming month. This is a service project that can be done from home. The Missing Maps project aims to map the most vulnerable places in the world (affected by humanitarian crises: disease epidemics, conflict, natural disasters, poverty, environmental crises).
The project is to digitize areas that do not have standardized addresses for emergency purposes. The idea is very similar to indexing, except you are tracing images on a map instead of transferring writing. Our assigned area will be Bandung Indonesia and we are #teamnephi. There will be a training session this Wednesday evening at 7pm via zoom for anyone interested. Some units are using this for their mutual and some are not. If you can't make it we will tape it.
Requirements are:
- Desktop or laptop computer (phone or tablet will not work)
- A mouse (a mouse touchpad on a laptop will not work, but you can buy a USB mouse for laptops).
