100 Days Smarter
While our 100th day of school (Wednesday, January 28th) was filled with other activities, we celebrated with projects and pondered questions about so many things surrounding the number 100. We continued that learning about 100 on Thursday as well. This is delayed in coming to you because my iPad and Macbook are not playing very well together and I had hoped to add pictures. Hopefully I will share them soon!
Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead
There has already been a lot of buzz about the planned STEAM school for next year. I am so excited about the opportunity our students will have the option to participate in. Our class is piloting one of the first grade units for the school, so your student will get a first-hand account of what learning will look like in a STEAM classroom. Visit the BSD Website (see link below) for more information and plan on attending the Hillcrest presentation on Thursday, February 26th at 6 p.m. Then, stick around for Bingo for Books! :)
HOMEWORK OOPS
Homework sent home Friday for this week will be due NEXT TUESDAY - I am so used to giving it a Friday date that I completely forgot about the extended weekend.
Please remember that there is no school on Friday, February 13th so that teachers can partake in Professional Development activities and there will be no school the following Monday for President's Day.

All American Performance - SAVE THE DATE!
First grade will be presenting a program to honor our country. The students have been working VERY hard to learn songs, practice lines, and create artwork to share with you. Mark your calendars for Thursday, February 19th at 6:30 p.m.
