Letter and video from the Principal
I can not believe we have come to the end of the first nine weeks. Thank you for your continued support and care for your child and your child's teacher. Also, thank you for your help with making the Gator Gallop a success. Your support helps us bring many different opportunities to our students!
First Quarter Progress will be posted by the end of next week on Skyward ( top right corner of the screen). Please take time to review your child's progress. Your child's teacher will follow up the progress notes during parent teacher conferences starting after fall break. Please keep in mind we are working towards mastery and mastery does not often occur during the first nine weeks! In fact, considering the Pandemic, we are aware of the gaps that have occurred and our teachers are working tirelessly to assist and help all of our students grow. Feel free to keep in communication with your child's teacher to see how you can continue to partner at home !
This newsletter is packed with information! Please take time to watch the short video on parent teacher conferences October 25- November 19 and a few highlights from this weeks newsletter!
Have an amazing fall break!
Christi Thomas
Principal

Families Invited to Panorama Parent Night Webinar
Families Invited to Panorama Parent Night Webinar
In the spring of 2019, HSE Schools began using the Panorama survey to better understand student’s experience in our schools. This survey helps HSE teachers, administrators and counselors gauge student growth and understanding around social and emotional competencies, which contribute to academic success and increase engagement in the classroom.
The district will be hosting a Parent Night Webinar to share information and answer common questions about the Panorama survey. We will discuss what data is collected and how HSE uses this data to help inform what services and supports are provide to students in order to increase academic success.
The webinar will be held on October 12th at 7:30PM. All HSE Families are invited to attend. Please pre-register for the event here.
If you can’t attend the webinar, the event will be recorded and posted to the HSE Schools website after concluding.
If you would like to learn more about how social-emotional learning can help your student better manage emotion, achieve positive goals, and experience increased success in the classroom, please visit: HSE Schools – What is Social Emotional Learning?
Thank you to the PTO and school community for a fun and successful Gator Gallop!
