The Last Song
Author: Nicholas Sparks
Summary!!!
"The Last Song" is the story of Ronnie Miller and how she spends her summer with her father at Wrightsville Beach. In the beginning of her summer, she is a rebellious 17 year old who acts horrible to show her parents what there divorce did to her ; she is particularly annoyed that she is being forced to spend the summer with her father, witch she has not spoken to in three years. She is so angry that she has abandoned the one thing that she and her father used to share in common — playing the piano. She has no desire to spend the summer in North Carolina; she has no desire to get to know Will Blakelee, the good-looking beach volleyball player who literally bumps into her during her first day. She has no desire to reconnect with the father who walked away from her, her mother, and her brother. However, a run-in with the wrong crowd combined with a nest of endangered loggerhead turtle eggs results in Ronnie's unexpected romance. The summer she wants to end becomes and lesson for her to learn about faith, family, and love.
Why I Liked the book
I think the only reason why I liked this book so much is because I can relate to what Ronnie's going threw. I hate the fact that she doesn't want to play the piano anymore because if I had the talent to play I would every chance I could.
Recommendation!!!
I enjoy reading Nickolas Sparks novels. I find them inspiring and very intractable. He makes all his books relate to life problems and does a very fantastic job of it.
