2019-2020 School Year End of Year
From The Principal
It is the last day of the 2019-2020 school year!
I wanted to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our Collins parents, families, and especially our Collins students.
No one planned on what occurred this year. And what is so extremely powerful and important to remember is, as families and the staff of Collins, we faced the challenges with bravery, perseverance, and grit.
Please know I am very thankful to each and everyone of you for your efforts and support of your child's learning at home. We have learned so much from these experiences. We will be stronger and more resilient because of how we have faced the circumstances. In these unprecedented times, for both adults and children, we have learned so much about ourselves.
For our sixth graders... I hope you always consider Collins your home. We will be cheering you on as you head to Knox and throughout your high school journey. The joy of knowing I will be able to see you cross the stage at graduation in 2026 fills my heart.
For our fifth graders... I am counting on you to be our leaders this coming school year. Through this school year you have grown so much. I believe this next year you will continue to grow and evolve into strong and capable young adults.
My thanks and love go out to each of you. I hope this summer brings us all rest and rejuvenation.
Wishing you all the best,
