Low Brass Band-Demic

Week 6: April 20-24

Week 6 Words from Mr. Wood

We have a busy week! First off, in case you missed our general smore on Saturday- don't forget we have a Kendra Scott event today (info below). I personally don't know much about it, but Mrs. Wood loves their stuff and it would make a great Mothers day gift!

Euphonium Zoom Sessions will take place Tuesday(4/21) and Thursday (4/23) at 10am

Tuba Zoom Sessions will take place Wednesday (4/22) and Friday (4/24) at 10am

  • Mr. Wood will send out a code to your FISD student email address at 9:50
  • Participation is optional, but strongly encouraged!
  • Help sessions will last 20 minutes

Finally- don't forget to start looking at pep tunes- this week I would specifically look at 'Crunch Time'. You can find the pdf at THIS LINK. You can play off of your screen or print it- but note that you would only want to print your page of music if you go with this option! If you are having a hard time with new sheet music let me know as I can possibly mail you a hard copy!

Have a great week!

Big picture

Kendra Scott Event Monday (4/20)!

Instagram Live

If you are on Instagram be sure to follow @staleyband as I am going to start doing live videos. I would encourage you to have your instrument close by and practice along. If you miss it you should still be able to view the archived video and I will also start linking practice videos on youtube in the coming weeks for those families that do not utilize instagram.

Solo Practice

Use the videos below to help with your solo practice! Be sure to click on the correct video for your instrument. If you need to review something just pause the video and practice along with me! If you have any questions please email woodc@friscoisd.org

Because so many students are having a difficult time posting to canvas there is no need to post this week- but try to aim for at least 5 days of practice!

Euphonium solo- pg 36 mm1-20
Tuba solo- pg 37 mm21-end

Pep Rally

We want everyone to start looking at 'Crunch Time' this week-it can be found at THIS LINK.

If you want to look for more music you can find more at THIS LINK. Note that there are a lot of folders and music options. The easiest way to get to YOUR music is by choosing the pdf with your instrument (large).

All this is secondary- so continue to focus on your solo and have fun! If you cannot print or just read the music off your screen please email me as I can send you a hard copy through the mail if needed.
