PDAS
Important PDAS Information for Returning Teachers
SAFE SCHOOLS
Teachers who are not new to PDAS or Denton ISD will complete the one hour refresher training through Safe Schools this year.
WHEN MUST TRAINING BE COMPLETED?
According to state and local policy teacher orientation and/or annual review must be completed within the first three weeks of school. It is also important to note observations cannot be conducted within the three-week window following teacher orientation and/or annual review (refer to the administrative regulations regarding training for teachers hired after the first day of school). Walkthroughs may take place at any time during the appraisal period, which begins the first day of instruction and conclude the last day of instruction.
HOW WILL TRAINING COMPLETION BE VERIFIED?
Once teachers have completed the required training, teacher orientation or annual review, the teacher must provide the campus principal with a completion certificate. Please place your training certificate in the green PDAS folder in my mailbox.
