Definition

Figurative or descriptive language in a literary work

Why is it used?

It shows the reader different images that help tell the story.

Running

Saying words.

That don’t mean anything.

Seeing her run from me.

Kicking myself.

Angry.

Freaking out.

Kicking walls.

Punching lockers.


Slowly sinking to the floor.

Knowing not how to fix it.

Don’t want to see her.

Knowing I’ll hurt her.

Wanting to run myself.


Let me run...
