Galileo Galilei
An Italian scientist and astronomer. Born, February 15, 1564, Disa Italy - died January 8, 1642, Arcetri, near Florence.
Nicolaus Copernicus
first person to state that earth and other planets rotate around the sun. Born, February, 19, 1473, Torun Poland - died May 24,1543, Frauenburg, east Russia.
Johannes Kepler
He proved by his observations that the planets move in elliptical orbits around the sun. Live from, 1571 to 1630. He did not called his discoveries "laws."
How did the change impact society at that time ?
The church came weaker because the church wanted Galileo to stop because the church though that the earth was in the center of the universe and Galileo was proving them that the sun was in the center of the earth.
