Students enrolled in Woodstock Ski Runners and Artistree Art Runners are participating in workshops run by outside organizations. These organizations have elected to continue their programming for two more sessions, Friday, February 28th and Friday, March 6th. About 90 students participating in these programs will be dismissed from school at 1:15pm to board the buses for Ski Runners and Art Runners. The rest of the school will continue on a normal Friday schedule.
If you intend to pick up your child early on 2/28 or 3/6, please be sure his/her homeroom teacher and the main office are aware in advance.

Summer Soak Pre-Registration Forms AVAILABLE NOW!
Registration is Now Open for Girls on the Run!
Register now for Girls on the Run Vermont’s (GOTRVT) spring season! This 10-week program is open to girls in 3rd-6th grade. Our season kicks off the first week of March. Our team meets both Mondays and Wednesdays (with some extra optional Fridays!) from 3:00 to 4:30.
At Girls on the Run, trained volunteer coaches deliver a research-based curriculum to help girls develop critical life skills that they can use at school, at home or with friends. Through fun games, relays, team challenges and movement, we empower girls to recognize their inner-strength, understand what it means to be part of a community and celebrate all that makes them unique!
Our season culminates with GOTRVT’s celebratory 5K on May 16th, at Brattleboro High School.
The registration fee is $100. Financial assistance is available for those who need it on the online registration. Eligibility is determined by annual household income. Please contact GOTRVT directly at 802-871-5664 with questions regarding financial assistance options.
Learn more about Girls on the Run or register your girl today at www.gotrvt.org Space is limited! Questions? Contact Coach Davie at Ldavie@wcsu.net or call/text 802-393-GOTR (4687).
School Choice Window Open
The Windsor Central Modified Unified Union School District (WCMUUSD) began accepting FY21 Elementary School Choice applications for students entering grades K-6 that reside within the district on Monday, February 3, 2020. Apply at https://www.wcsu.net/schoolchoice.
What is WCMUUSD Intra-District School Choice and who is allowed to exercise it?
It is anticipated that children entering grades K-6 who live in the towns of Barnard, Bridgewater, Killington, Plymouth, Pomfret, Reading, and Woodstock will enter the elementary school operated for their town of residence. This is considered their "home" school, and original entry admission is assured. Alternatively, parents within these towns may choose to exercise school choice; parents may apply to send their child to any WCMUUSD elementary school operating within any of these towns. Available elementary schools are: Barnard Academy (Grades K-6), Killington Elementary School (Grades K-6), Reading Elementary School (Grades K-3), and Woodstock Elementary School (Grades K-6).
If your K-5 child is currently attending WES through choice and you want to stay, no action is necessary.
Students entering Kindergarten from Bridgewater, Pomfret, or Woodstock automatically can enroll at WES without applying for choice. Students wishing to enter WES Kindergarten from other district towns (Barnard, Killington, Plymouth, Reading) need to apply to enter WES through school choice.
