Valentine Parties - No Valentine Exchanges This Year

Classroom teachers will be hosting Valentine Parties on Feb. 9th. Due to ongoing concerns with the Covid-19 virus, we will not be exchanging individual Valentines amongst the students. We will return to the tradition of exchanging Valentines next year.

PTO News

  • The PTO has organized a Marco's Pizza Box Night - January 25-27. See the flyer below for details. This event was very successful last year and we are hoping for similar participation this year. Your child has designed a pizza box that will be given to you when the order is picked up. (For sanitation reason, your pizza will actually be placed in a brand new box.)

A kind reminder:

We kindly ask that families refrain from sending any food/candy treats and flowers/balloons to school when celebrating birthdays or other special occasions. This change is in the interest of student and staff wellness initiatives and out of respect for a growing number of students who have allergies. In addition, any items brought into the building during this COVID pandemic must be quarantined for 5 days before we can allow them to be shared within our school.

If you would like to send a special treat to celebrate a birthday or other special occasion, we would ask that you send a small novelty item such as a pencil, sticker, bookmark, or eraser (please do not package small novelty items with food). Or consider donating something to the classroom in honor of the occasion (ex. book, art supplies, board games for indoor recess).

Please consult with the classroom teacher if you have questions about appropriate donations, and be sure to allow enough time in advance so that we can meet our current health and safety requirements.
