UPDATE FOR 2017-18
The State of Missouri has updated school requirements for IMMUNIZATIONS!
All INCOMING SENIORS MUST have a dose of the Meningitis Shot after their 16th birthday. Proof of this vaccination is required to start ANY school activity, including fall athletics.
Currently there are over 200 students that do NOT MEET this requirement for next year! Get your shot now as supplies will run low in the summer months with physicals.
If you do not turn in proof of your immunization, you will not be given your class schedule or allowed to attend school, athletic, or off campus events until you are compliant.
NO EXCEPTIONS!

ATTENDANCE MATTERS
- Mrs. Hartland
As I write this, students have been in school 110 days this year and 27 days this semester. It feels like just yesterday it was August 18th, and everyone was excited about the new school year. I'm guessing in your household the newness has worn off and if you have a student who doesn't "like" school, stays up late, can't sleep at night, has stomach aches in the morning................the struggle to get them up and to school on time may be taking place. To achieve the expected 90% attendance, students should not have missed more than 9 days of school this year. Receiving the A+ Scholarship requires a 95% attendance.
At the high school we are focusing on "College and Career Readiness" which includes learning to be on time. A student who skips classes in college or misses work will not be successful at either. Our expectation is that students learn the good habit of routine attendance.
If a student becomes ill at school, it is important that they check with the nurse to determine if they need to leave school. The nurse will call you if the student is too ill to be at school, otherwise the student is expected to return to class.
Students arriving late (after 7:40) cause disruption in the classroom when they walk in and they may miss out on valuable learning. Students receive consequences for multiple tardies and late arrivals.
Our effort is to prepare students for success in life and includes all of us working together to help them achieve their best. Thank you for working with us to provide your student a meaningful experience.
