www.accesstechnologiesinc.orgAssistive Learning Technology Consulting
I consult and train college-aged students or parents that have students who struggle in school. Through informal evaluation, I match up students with AT, based on their strengths and areas of focus. I then train the family/individuals on the AT and allow them to practice. If the desired outcomes are not achieved, we will continue to trial different options to ensure we've bridged any gaps in their learning processes. I also provide advocacy services to parents in the area of AT during IEP and 504 meetings.
ATMaker.org
ATMakers.org is an experiment in solving problems in Assistive Technology using the skills and tools of the Maker community. In short, we’ve seen tools in the Open-Source Hardware and Software community that can be incredibly useful for people with severe physical and cognitive challenges – we’d like to help introduce these communities to each other.
Founded by Bill Binko, co-founder and principal technologist at LessonPix.com, we hope to provide descriptions and instructions that allow a community of Makers (for example a high-school robotics club or regulars at a MakerSpace) to build customized technology solutions for Assistive Technology Professionals and individuals whose lives would be enriched by them.

I Want to Tell You Books
The I Want to Tell You Book Series is an early communication tool to assist young children with speech delays. The series covers core words and language young children desire to use, in a soundboard book format, in addition to incorporating clear sign language photos. The series combines sign language, early push-to-speak buttons, and picture exchange for communication. The words are clearly labeled under the photographs as well, for sight word recognition. The series is a precursor to a communication device and appeals to the interests of young children, motivating them to want to communicate and engage.
