Principal's Message
This weekend and upcoming week will surely be a constant reminder that we are almost there, the end of this school year! The beautiful spring and summer weather seem to be here to stay! I hope you all enjoyed some time outdoors this weekend. I spent the afternoon visiting with our family friends sitting on their deck and it was a great feeling to be together again, to feel like there is an end in sight to this pandemic.
While our state and nation continue to take steps towards lifting bans we must remember to adhere to CDC guidelines regarding mask wearing and visiting with vaccinated friends and family members. At Barbieri School we will continue to wear masks at all times unless eating safely at a distance of 6 feet or more. We will also continue to host weekly COVID testing for staff and students.
Have a restful evening,
Maria

Message from your Barbieri Art Teachers!!! (Grade 5 families)
To celebrate the 5th Grade graduating class and their time here at Barbieri, each student in-person and remote will create a self-portrait tile to be displayed in our lobby. All students will draw a self-portrait on a 6x6" sheet of white drawing paper to be collaged onto a painted tile. Remote artists will be provided with a Self-Portrait Art Kit to complete the first part of this project. Remote students will artistically direct in-person students in the painting of their tile using a buddy system. It has been a challenging year and we are excited to see the looks of pride on your childrens' faces upon completion of their masterpiece!
