New announcements:
Rhody Kiddie Parade - Friday May 19, 3:30pm
Join Us for the Kiddie Parade on Friday, May 19th. The parade starts at 3:30. Meet in front of Aldrich's by 3:15pm.
Wear blue and green. Students are working hard on ocean themed hats and decorations. All students and families welcome.
Seeking Students and Families to Join May 30 Planning Retreat
On May 30 from 8:30-10:30am we are holding a planning session for the 23-24 school year. If you would like to join us both students of all ages and families are invited to join us at OCEAN.
If you plan to join us please email Sarah srubenstein@ptschools.org so we can plan for the group size.
OCEAN Student of the Week
OCEAN School 4th grader Caleb Sigmond was nominated by principal Sarah Rubenstein.
Caleb is a hard working and earnest OCEAN student. He is a deep thinker who looks at the world with a curious lense. He has a sincere interest in how the world works, current events and environmental issues. He is an active participant in class discussions and always brings a fresh perspective to the class community. Caleb earns his PE credit as an avid mountain biker and is part of the Port Gamble Mt. Vike team.

ASB Election for the 2023-24 School Year
Students who are currently in grades 6-11 are encouraged to run for officer positions in next year’s ASB! We ask that students submit their Declaration of Candidacy and Faculty Recommendation forms to Kyle by Monday, May 15 for our May 22-23 election. Please see the forms below for details about the positions. Paper copies in the OCEAN hallway.
Seeking Adult Volunteers for Senior Presentations
May 24, from 5:15-7:00pm OCEAN seniors will be presenting their Senior Projects. We are looking for adults who would like to be community members in the room providing feedback on presentations. If you would like to volunteer contact Katie, kquimby@ptschools.org.

Saturday, June 3, 2023 - Senior Prom, 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm at the JFK Building in Fort Worden
Tuesday, June 6, 2023 - 10:45 am in the PTHS gym. Distribution of caps, gowns, yearbooks and graduation tickets
Thursday, June 8, 2023 - Seniors return any textbooks or other school items.
Friday, June 9, 2023 - 11:00am - Senior Group Photo in caps and gowns in front of the gym at 11:00 am, followed by Senior Walk.
Tuesday June 13, 2023 - OCEAN Senior Tea 5:15pm, Cotton Bldg. - pick up your OCEAN stole
Wednesday, June 14, 2023 - Graduation Practice - McCurdy Pavilion, 8:30 am - 1:00 pm
Thursday, June 15, 2022- Graduation Day! - Graduation Practice - 8:30 am - 1:00 pm - McCurdy Pavilion
- Arrive at the Chapel for graduation by 6:15 pm for the walk over to McCurdy Pavilion.
- COMMENCEMENT, 7:00 pm McCurdy Pavilion (admission by ticket only).
- Following graduation - Check out at the Chapel . Return gowns and stoles in return for your diploma and other paperwork.
- Head to the bus for Grad Night! Grad Night is from 10:00 pm-2:00 am.
