Kindergarten News
September 2023
Dear Families
We enjoyed meeting so many of you during our Open House and getting to know your children during our first week together! The students are already building relationships with new friends and teachers! Please expect to receive an updated Kindergarten newsletter at the beginning of each month. Our newsletters are filled with important information, dates, and resources!
We Are Learners and Leaders!
During the month of September our students will learn literacy foundations and routines through our Benchmark reading and writing program. In math, we will use the Eureka program to learn about counting and cardinality with a focus on numbers up to 10. During Social Studies, we will learn about the roles, rights, and responsibilities we all have at home and at school. Our students will also engage in social emotional learning through our class meetings and the Leader in Me program.
You can help your child at home by asking them about their day and reading together each evening. We will begin formal reading and math homework in October.
