Family Art Night and Auction AND District Art Show

Hopkins will be hosting their first Family Fun Art Night and Auction on Thursday, May 19, 2016. The evening will be packed with multiple Art stations and you will have the opportunity to see the fabulous individual and classroom art work. EVERY student will have a piece of artwork on display. We will also be auctioning one art project from every classroom.


Please bring your smartphones and headphones to see some of the artworks come to life!

Please follow the directions below prior to coming:

District Art Show

We will be having our District Elementary Art Show on TUESDAY, MAY 17TH 5-8 at the PARADIGM. Because this Art show is a district show I am unfortunately unable to display art from every student. Approximately, a week before the show I will be sending letters home to students who will have their art on display. Below are directions for Aurasma at the District Art Show.

Still Time for Art Camp! May 31-June 3rd

This camp is designed to offer hands-on and educational arts experiences designed for children of all ages. Camp this year will ONLY be 1 group. Lessons will be adjusted or differentiated for various age levels. Also, camp times are longer to make up for the shorter week ). Camp will be taught by Mrs. Toot, an art educator in the Mentor Exempt Vill S/D. Each day will provide fun, exploration and learning in and through the arts; an introduction to the work and life of well-known artist or movements; art-making activities inspired by the work of the artist or artists under study; and exposure to a wide variety of arts media and techniques. Cost of camp for the week is $100.00 and will be held at St. Mary’s School cafeteria in Chardon.
