Hernan Cortes was born in 1485 in Spain. He was from a lesser than noble family, and it is believed that he studied at the University of Salamanca. He died in 1547

Acomplishments
Hernan Cortes
Hernan Cortes defeated the Aztec's, and destroyed their civilization. He conquered the Aztec Empire, and was very brutal towards the Aztec's. He first sailed to the New World when he was 19. He led other expeditions in the years 1518 and 1522. He went on explorations to conquer more land for the Spanish.
