Bowman News
7th Edition
September 21, 2018
Hello Bowman Families,
Classroom Time with Corduck:
Earlier this week, I happened to catch the end of a 4th grade physical education (gym) class. The students counted off by sixes and sat together in their number rows. They alternate the direction they faced, one facing the left wall, the following facing the right wall. Their legs were bent at the knees. The object was to work together in a relay format to pass a ball using their feet from one person to the next without dropping it. Once the ball was passed down the row, the first person jumped up and ran to the end of the line. The students quickly realized that in order for their team to be successful, they needed to pay attention, communicate with each other, and be precise in receiving and passing the ball. All great skills to practice, while laughing and having fun.

Playground Update
The playground is OPEN! We all received surprising news on Thursday, that the safety inspection had been completed a day before it was scheduled which meant that students were allowed to play on the new structures that morning. Stay tuned for details regarding a ribbon cutting….
Thank you PTA for hosting a terrific get-together Friday night. Special thanks to Ms. Glick for providing musical entertainment and our Bowman Bear who had quite the fan club.
