Construction Update

Ozark School District

Construction continues to move forward, with crews at Tiger Paw Early Childhood Center and the Ozark Innovation Center day after day. Currently, we remain on track to have both projects completed for the 2022/23 school year.
Operation Renovate & Innovate: Ozark Innovation Center

Exterior

You will soon start to see big changes on the exterior of the OIC, as construction crews will begin to install the new metal siding soon.

Interior

Walls are going up and you can start to see classrooms taking shape inside the Ozark Innovation Center. Ozark High School staff toured it Jan. 5, getting a sneak peek at all the action inside — and getting excited! The interior is designed with a lot of glass, making the space feel more open. Since it is such a large building with limited exterior walls, skylights will be installed to provide natural light throughout.
Big picture

Exterior

Work continues on the front entrance of Tiger Paw Early Childhood Center. The metal connector that brought together the 1922 building and the 1936 building was removed in October. Crews are working on the retaining wall and have poured the footings for the ramp. Steel will start to go up soon to once again connect these two buildings. This is where the new front entrance to the Early Childhood Center will be.

Interior

This fall, crews from DeWitt Construction started framing walls on the top floor and have been working on drywall. Framing is now going up on the main floor and preschool staff can start to see their classrooms and the building take shape. Staff took a tour to check out their spaces on Jan. 5.
