Attention Sophomores and Students New to West!
Hello, Class of 2023 Students and New to West Students!
I hope that you have been enjoying the summer months, making sure to find time to rest, rejuvenate, and recharge for the upcoming school year. While the official start of the school year may be a few weeks away, CB West would like to invite all incoming members of the class of 2023 and any new student to our building for our annual Welcome to West Day! Unfortunately, we are forced to hold this event virtually this year, but we hope you will attend even from afar!
Welcome to West day will be held on Thursday, September 3rd from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The format will be delivered through a live TEAMS event during which you can ask your house principal, your school counselors and your class advisors questions. Attached please find a flyer with details and the TEAMS LINK.
If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Helen Sclama Zaleski at hzaleski@cbsd.org or contact the Sophomore house office at 267-893-2504. Please be reminded that all students should be checking their CBSD email daily. All communications, reminders and scheduling updates, throughout the school year, will be sent through CBSD email.
I look forward to meeting you soon and send my best wishes to you and your families.
Mrs. Sclama Zaleski

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS FROM PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
The Pennsylvania Department of Health has revised the immunization requirements for students.
The state law immunization requirement must be completed by November 5, 2020.
Please click here for further details.
If the student is in the middle of a series and it is too soon for the next dose, the parents must provide the school nurse with a plan for immunizations (signed by a health care provider) within the first 5 days. If the student has incomplete immunizations and no medical plan, the student will be excluded from school.
You may check your child’s school immunization record by logging onto the parent portal through the district website at this link or by consulting with your child’s physician.
