Cool Cat News
Principal Brief
May 7-11
Cool Cats,
Thanks so much for all the love you and your students showed for Principal's Day. This week was about YOU - but you turned it around to say thanks to Vanessa and I. What a wonderful gesture at just the right time.
I am thrilled that our new playground equipment will be arriving soon! I know the Cool Cats will love the new swingset and climbers. It will most likely be installed the week of May 20th - I will keep you updated. Bethany wrote a $1,000 grant on behalf of PTA, we hope to purchase some additional benches.
We have ordered some awesome blue ribbon metal signs for an outdoor display and I can't wait until they come in!
MAP data is looking GREAT - wow! Our students have made so much progress this year! Class lists are coming together - thanks for working together as a team to make the best decisions for kids!
All library books are due next week. Please remind your students to bring back their books. Terry, our cafeteria manager will be making phone calls home regarding lunch accounts. If you have any EOY questions please let me know.
Hartman summer school letters were given to team leaders Pre-k - 3rd. When letters are returned, please give them to Kara Broyles. Our summer jumpstart program will be held every Tuesday and Thursday, July 10th-August 2nd from 8am-11am for identified students.
Hartman LIteracy Summer Camp will open to all incoming K-4 students on July 11th, 18th, 25th and August 1st. Students will participate in literacy activities and be able to check out a book. 9-11am.
The Michael Tetreault Scholarship is now endowed by the Education Foundation. There will be two recipients of this award on May 15th at 7pm. The Education Foundation picks the recipients. If you are wanting to attend the ceremony in honor of Hartman and hand the check to the scholarship winners, please let me know.
I love how every student is is engaged and working hard until the very last day. The Cool Cats are committed to learning! I love looking at all our awesome data in PLC's. Students are achieving at high levels!
Love this quote - so true!
