Frog Pond School Newsletter 09/2020
Volume 20-21 Issue 1

Tom Denning, Principal
Hello Frog Pond Families,
We, here at Frog Pond, hope that you have been able to spend some valuable time with your families over the summer! As the 2020-2021 school year approaches quickly, we are preparing for a school year that will be different in so many ways. Our custodial and administrative staff have been working hard to get our school ready, and I know our teachers are dedicated to making this a successful school year! While there are many challenges we are facing as a community during this COVID-19 pandemic, we want you to know that we are here to provide your children with the best education possible, regardless if your child is in-person or virtual.
We understand that returning to school after summer break can be stressful for children and parents, and that the uncertainties of the pandemic can add an entirely new layer to some families' concerns and challenges. We will continue to share some of the new protocols and any changes that arise that are put in place to protect the health and safety of the students and staff. For the first week, we will have staff stationed throughout the school during arrival and dismissal to assist students with directions or just provide a helping hand.
Now, more than ever before, I encourage you to keep an open line of communication with your child’s teacher during the school year if you have any questions or concerns. Our school hours are 8:15am until 3:15pm. Please make every effort to have your student in school and on time. On their virtual days, it is also extremely important for your child to log into their daily Morning Meetings and daily assignments. Attendance is an important part of ensuring student success.
While this year may look different, we still encourage and welcome parent involvement. Reach out to your child’s teacher and to the school if you are looking to help out in any way. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook on our Little Egg Harbor School District page and Mr. Denning at FrogPond Principal. Please check our website for upcoming events and announcements.
We are looking forward to a wonderful school year!
Sincerely,
Thomas P. Denning
