Bel-Nor Family Engagement Liaison Retiring After 22 Years
Congratulations to Mrs. Joan Lee, Family Engagement Liaison at Bel-Nor School, who has officially retired from Beyond Housing.
Mrs. Lee has served the Normandy Schools Collaborative for 22 years. She was a district substitute teacher for 10 years, NSC’s Parent Liaison for six years, and then, through Beyond Housing, became a Family Engagement Liaison. Mrs. Lee has also served our country through the military for 10 years, both in active duty and as a reservist.
Although Mrs. Lee has retired, she plans to return as a distinguished volunteer for Bel-Nor.
"We truly appreciate Mrs. Lee for all of the love and care she has demonstrated toward our students, families and staff at Bel-Nor and throughout Normandy Schools Collaborative," said Bel-Nor Principal Dr. Lisa Boxley. "Thank you Mrs. Lee!"

Free COVID-19 Test Kits Available Through County
Free PCR saliva COVID-19 test kits are now available from the St. Louis County Department of Public Health. Tests can be picked up at the North County Recreation Complex at 2577 Redman Avenue from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday, February 11.
No appointment is necessary – residents can drive up and receive one test kit for each member of the driver’s household. All DPH test kits are PCR saliva tests, and each kit must be returned to a DPH health center for processing before test results can be determined. Those centers include John C. Murphy in Berkeley, North Central Community Health Center in Pine Lawn or South County Health Center in Sunset Hills.
Additional information can be found at ReviveSTL.com.
St. Louis County COVID-19 Vaccine Incentive Program
With children ages 5-11 now eligible to get vaccinated, they are also eligible for the DPH’s vaccine incentive program. St. Louis County parents or guardians will receive gift cards if their children 5 and older get vaccinated.
To qualify for this incentive, individuals must:
- Live in St. Louis County
- Be 5 years of age or older
- Get fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at a Department of Public Health (DPH) vaccination event.
Families with multiple children are eligible to receive gift cards for each child who is fully vaccinated.
