Campfires & Smore; Literacy Night, Oct. 4th
I am excited about our first outside Literacy Night! We will have six fire pits set up on the football field and we will be having some interactive readings with parents, teachers, and students. The Anderson Library will also be here to help students sign up for Library cards. What a fun night. Again, if you stay, I will feed you!
They're all mine!
This is the kind of picture you get when you ask Mrs. Womack to take a group picture! But, I'm pretty sure this is the face our students have, when they see her coming around with the fish cart to your classroom.
Behavior Issues...Here is a challenge by Angela Watson
Simple: Spend two minutes per day for 10 days in a row talking with an at-risk child about anything she or he wants to talk about. The reasoning is to build rapport between YOU and STUDENT. This lets the child know you genuinely care. I believe this small investment in time could yield major changes. I would love to hear the end results with anyone willing to take this challenge.
