*We continued to practice flat and solid shapes and their attributes.
*Nonfiction text features were introduced. Last week we learned about the table of contents and glossary features.
*We began learning about writing informational reports during Writer's Workshop.
*Mrs. Hammes began helping the students conduct research on a specific pet for their informational reports.
*We said goodbye to our student teacher, Miss Fitzpatrick. The class presented her with a teacher bag filled with notepads, markers, desk supplies, and children's books! They also made a darling goodbye book for her!
