3rd Quarter Incentive Trip
Our 3rd Quarter Incentive Trip is booked and scheduled for mid-April. For this trip, students will be visiting the campus of the University of Cincinnati to participate in a fitness day and watching a college baseball game! As always, students earn an invite to this trip by making good choices each day and making sure their attendance is good. With the cold and flu season hitting hard, we will be looking closely at attendance so that students are not missing the trip due to one extended illness. We also always consider chronic health conditions. In order to stay in compliance with House Bill 410, students should not be missing more than 65 hours in a year or 38 hours in a month without proper medical documentation. Making this part of the incentive is designed to eliminate those days that students miss for no legitimate reason.
All students will have access to a grade level field trip that supports the learning standards of the grade. This incentive trips are above and beyond the grade level trips. We thank all of you for your continued support of our Kona Ice sales as it allows these trips to happen. We take pride in the fact that we offer multiple experiences to our students throughout the year.
Box Top Reminder!
The collection of box tops has changed! It’s now an app for your phone (search for Box Tops for Education). When you buy a Box Tops product, scan your receipt and Taylor Elementary gets credit for the Box Tops. After taking the picture of the receipt, click on the star at the bottom of the screen and type in your child’s homeroom teacher’s name. That way your child’s homeroom gets credit. Whichever class has the most Box Tops in May will win a party of their choice.
There are still some products that have Box Tops on them. Cut those out and send them in. Have your child bring them to room 114 for a candy treat. These will count toward your child’s homeroom amount too.
The top six classes with the most Box Tops, so far, are the following: Basil- 143, Kersting-110, Adelsperger- 46, Beason -31, Geers 28, and Frey-13.
If you have any questions you can email me (abeason@nwlsd.org) or Mrs. McGuire (kmcguire@nwlsd.org) or call us (825-3000).
Thank you!!
