Choir Newsletter - September

What you need to know.........

Welcome to the WBHS choral program! My name is Karen Wysocky and I am the choral director at the high schools. I am a nationally board certified teacher and am starting my 30th year in the district!! I live in West Bend and have two dogs - Paddington (golden retriever) and Pierre (Bichon). They definitely keep me laughing! This is one of many newsletters you will be receiving from me to keep you up to date with what is going on.

Hopefully, your student has shown you the choir handbook which lists everything you need to know about the choral program - choirs, co-curricular's, discipline policy, grading scale and most importantly - all the required dates for concerts and activities. The last sheet (which is due tomorrow) confirms that you read the handbook, and gives permission for your student to go on field trips this year. The class that gets them all in by tomorrow gets cookies, so ask your student if they have turned theirs in. If you haven't received it yet - ask them where it is!!!!!!! (hmmmm.......maybe their backpacks?!?!?!)

It's been a busy 3 days trying to get through all the "housekeeping" items and getting to know each other. I look forward to working with your student this year. Should you need to contact me, please email me at kwysocky@west-bend.k12.wi.us, or call me at 335-5650. It's going to be a great year! Talk again soon!!!!!
