Hello and welcome to the second installment of this year's NCASC Newsletter Series!

In this newsletter, you will find summaries on the Virtual Leadership Conferences, Mock Election results, Emerging Leaders (Middle School) Conference information, and a Google Form for the next installment of the NCASC Newsletter Series.

Virtual Conferences - Versatility, Collaboration, and Empathy

Versatility Conference

The Versatility Conference, held virtually on October 3rd, 2020, was planned and executed by the Eastern District Committee. The conference focused on how leadership is changing in this new and unpredictable time in history. The keynote speakers were Tiffany Johnson and Elijah Lee.

Collaboration Conference

The Collaboration Conference, held virtually on October 24th, 2020, was planned and executed by the Western District Committee. The conference focused on how working together (collaboration) is key in any leadership environment. The keynote speaker was Amy Hicks.

Empathy Conference

The Empathy Conference, held virtually on November 14th, 2020, was planned and executed by the Central District Committee. This conference was focused on the idea of "empathy" and what it can do for your Student Government. The keynote speakers for this conference were Dr. Ronda Bullock, Dr. Henry McKoy, and Ms. Angela Teal.

Congratulations and great job to all who were involved with putting on the Virtual Leadership Conferences. All three of them were influential and helped so many of us, student leaders, with increasing our leadership knowledge and becoming stronger leaders.

Emerging Leaders Conference

Saturday, Jan. 30th 2021 at 9am

This is an online event.

Hosted by Wakefield Middle School, the Emerging Leaders Conference for students in grades 6 to 9 and their advisors will be on January 30th, 2021 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm! Wakefield Middle School has worked hard to create an unforgettable and educational experience with the theme, "Head, Heart, and Soul of Leadership 2.0."

This event is FREE OF CHARGE! All you have to do is register online by January 22nd to attend!

Over the last few months, we've seen so many amazing people come together for this conference. The conferences had some of the largest turnouts in NCASC history! Thank everyone so much for all of their hard work!
