Brooks Crossing & Deans School Newsletter - 6/1/19
Message from Joe Anzek, Interim Principal
What a great Field Day! The weather matched the design and execution of events. The only thing keeping the kids from successfully completing their tasks was that they were laughing too hard. It was great, silly fun. Thank you to Ms. Woronicz and Mr. Dunn and your crack team of aides, teachers and parents.
We had an excellent turnout for kindergarten orientation this week. Many eager students brought their curious parents to the opportunity to get to know each other. Kudos to Ms. Franken the Deans school secretary for organizing the smooth running events of the day.
Come celebrate with the BC/DE school community at our end-of-the-school-year Carnival and Picnic! The PTO has planned this family-friendly event for all to enjoy! See this BC/DE CARNIVAL AND PICNIC Information and Presale Discount Ticket Order Form. This flyer was also sent home with students and has also been posted in our online Friday Folder for the past few weeks.

Did you know the PTO has used funds we've raised to offset the parent's cost of many of our grade level field trips? Did you also know the PTO purchased four large 10 person picnic tables, one being American Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant, for our BC students to enjoy outside learning opportunities and activities with their class? These are just two examples of the many ways we support BC/DE. Many do not realize that without our PTO, funding would not be available to help offset costs or purchase items that can enhance our children's learning experience!
Each membership we receive, and every dollar we raise, supports our BC/DE school community! There is much we do to support all students and staff, and memberships are a very important resource for us to meet these goals. Since family memberships are only $10 per family, please consider joining your PTO each school year and support our fundraising efforts. Your support and generosity is very much appreciated!
PTO memberships are always becoming accepted and we really hope you will show your support and join our PTO in the Fall when we start our membership drive again for the 2019-2020 school year.
If you would like more information on becoming a member or to volunteer, please email: BrooksCrossingPTO@gmail.com.
Be sure to read the Brooks Crossing/Deans Online Friday Folder weekly for upcoming PTO events! Go to https://bcde.sbschools.org/school_information/friday_folders.
