Scenarios for September
1) back to school as normal
2) completely distance/remote learning
3) hybrid model
-We are required to start with a hybrid at least for September.
-Students will be cohorted in classes at a maximum of 15 students.
-One scenario might be that half of your class would come for part of the week and the other half would come for the other half of the week. Another scenario could be alternating A and B weeks.
-At this point, planning time teachers and French teachers would have to go to the students as opposed to having the students come to you.
-Recesses will likely look very different with students going out just with their class cohort.
-Regardless of which model we are in, staff will be required to be at school full-time.
-My understanding is that in a hybrid model, programming would be required for the students for both in class time at school and online programming for the times when students are learning from home.

Math Update
There will be some professional development for the new Math curriculum. In the meantime, start with an area you are comfortable with. Jess is recommending that you also have a look at the front matter of the Math document.
The Board's Math team has been working on creating diagnostic tools to use with students this fall. These include an Early Numeracy screener, a diagnostic for fractions, and a diagnostic for integers. More to follow about this in the fall.
